I left our car seat out last night on the front porch and woke up in the morning to discover a not so pleasant surprise. Fire ants were excavating the seat for all the crumbs and food that are embedded inside of every single part. Since pesticides are an unacceptable solution. I began to dismantle the cushion system to thoroughly clean the seat and pads. That is when I had another pleasant surprise. The ants had infested the manual tucked in the base of the chair as well. I felt some fire from the ants and that completed my lesson. Don’t leave car seats outside for any lengthy periods of time, and try to keep them moderately clean. In all fairness the ants are going to find any spec of food so I dont think it really mattered. although upon inspecting the inside of the base of the seat i did locate alot of hidden crumbs.
